Our Objectives
While we offer support that is tailored around the unique needs of every young person, the aims and objectives of our accommodation and support include:
- Offering accommodation and shelter to young people in our care.
- Helping young people develop basic life skills.
- Imparting good morals and aligning young people with positive behaviour.
- Developing confidence and involving young people in programmes focused on helping them to value themselves and others through therapeutic personalised sessions.
- Providing opportunities for a creative and imaginative play where they could explore their own identity and help build their self-esteem.
- Promoting equal opportunities through our policies and to reflect this philosophy through practice and delivery of care in our early years setting.
- Establish partnership with parents for sharing issues and concerns.
- Developing awareness of respect for diversity in young people.
Accommodation
Our accommodation offers a great environment tailored for the needs of young people. GISUK provides well maintained and furnished accommodation, with staff on-site 24 hours each day. Our homes are strategically located, in easily accessible places close to shops, schools, doctors, parks and other amenities.
Support
At GISUK, we seek to empower young people to live independently by working on their basic life skills, behaviour and morals, confidence and self-esteem, respect for self and others and more. We boast a hghly passionate support team, with vast experience and dedication in dealing with young people; bringing the best out of every young individual.
Development
Beyond putting a roof over young people’s heads, our services seek to develop and empower young people with professional skills and encouraging academic and career advancement. We support young people in their academic studies, attaining apprenticeship, finding jobs and more. We have various programmes aimed at helping every young person to attain basic life skills, improve on confidence, behaviour, self-respect, self-esteem, positive behavior and respect for others.
